Rhubarb Wine

Wipe and bruise Rhubarb
stalks add one gallon
of cold spring water to
every 6 lb of Rhubarb
and stir them twice or
thrice a day for ten days
then strain through a
fine seive or piece of
muslin add to every
gallon 4 lb of moist sugar
and a sliced lemon.
Let it stand for seven
days then strain as before,
put it into a barrel
with 3 oz of isinglass
to every 9 gallons do not
bung the barrel until
fomentation a [has] ceased.

I just love rhubarb. I definitely try that one but not straight after treating my chapped hands. Might make life a bit difficult.
