Raspberry Buns (22/09/1898)


1/2 lb Flour
1 oz Butter
1 oz Lard
Pinch of Salt
1 Egg
2 oz Castor Sugar
1/2 tsp Carbonate of Soda
1 tsp Cream of Tartar
1/2 of 1/4 of Pint of Milk
A little raspberry Jam

Method

Mix the flour, rub in butter,
lard, sugar and the soda then
dissolve the cream of tartar in 
the milk, mix it with the egg
and make into a soft paste.
Divide into buns on a floured
tin.
