Fondant Icing For Cakes


2 lbs Lump sugar
1/2 pint of water
Dissolve the sugar in
the water carefully over a
low heat
Then the whole is boiled
till frothing. Pour into
a mixing bowl and
when cool almost to
lukewarm, stir well
with a spatula till it
begins to set. Then
spread on the cake with
a palette knife.
Often decorations can
be added.
